Being partnered or married to someone who identifies as transgender or gender questioning brings its own unique set of experiences. Questions, concerns, joys, excitement can come up, and it seems like no one around you understands. You need a place to safely speak your mind, get support, get answers to questions about how others are navigating this experience. You're welcome to join this monthly support group to find connection, community, support and understanding.
Consultation Group for Trans-Affirming Clinicians
Monthly clinical consultation group for mental health providers working with trans, non-binary, gender questioning clients.

This is a monthly virtual clinical consultation group for mental health providers who are working with trans, non-binary, and/or gender questioning clients with an affirming approach. Group participants have the opportunity to present a case, ask general questions, or simply attend to listen and learn. We meet the second Tuesday of every month. You are now registered to attend this group on May 16th, 2024 from 10am-11:30am
You can stay in the group for as many sessions as you find helpful. A fee of $50 is collected for each session attended.
Once you register, Sarah Gilbert, LCSW will send you an email with a link for clinical consultation group guidelines and credit card payment.
Trans 101 - An Introduction to Trans Affirming Care

More than ever, people identifying as transgender or gender questioning are in need of compassionate, competent clinical care from mental health professionals. Unfortunately, so many of us didn’t get a foundational knowledge of gender diversity in our grad school programs, and it’s not always easy to find trainings available on this topic. This results in a lot of unmet need within the trans community.
In this engaging, interactive, live webinar, you will be given a foundational knowledge of the diverse array of gender identities, gender expressions, and transition options for clients of all ages. I’ve created this training with actionable information that’s applicable to work with clients across the life span; you’ll leave with knowledge that you can start putting to use right after this training’s over.
This isn’t a typical webinar where you’ll be talked at, disengaged and bored to tears. I design my webinars to be FUN and worthwhile, because I’m passionate about creating great training experiences to help my colleagues be able to provide affirming, inclusive, trans-competent clinical spaces.
Registration includes access to the live webinar, as well as supplemental learning materials to help you continue in this important work after this training. And finally, your registration helps the LGBTQ community; $5 of every registration will be donated to The Trevor Project, a national 24 hour free confidential suicide hotline for LGBTQ youth.
