In this engaging and interactive 2 hour training, mental health professionals will learn how to reframe sexuality as a dynamic spectrum through guided discussions, case vignettes, and
collaborative learning. Participants will leave equipped with actionable information to better support clients across the full spectrum of sexual identities.
This training is approved for 2 cultural competency CEC's through NASW/CT.
I design my webinars to be interactive, engaging, and worthwhile, because I’m passionate about creating great training experiences for my colleagues. My aim is for you as a participant to engage with this information in a way that allows to be a great clinical ally to your LGBTQ+ clients. In that spirit, all participant questions will be addressed without judgment or shaming.
After this training, participants will be able to:
1. Be able to identify at least two ways that bi erasure manifests in clinical settings and
explain their impact on client experiences and treatment outcomes.
2. Apply spectrum-aware frameworks when conducting assessments and developing
treatment plans for clients with diverse sexual identities.
3. Know how to implement specific language modifications in clinical documentation, intake
forms, and therapeutic communication that affirms bisexuality and sexual fluidity.
4. Develop an action plan with at least two immediate practice changes to create more
inclusive and affirming environments for clients across the sexuality spectrum.
